What are the eigenvalues of H....Ans: +-sqrt(2)
The answer to H|1>=|2> problem should be +/- sqrt(2) since you shall have to to operate H on both sides to get (H^2)|1>=H|2>=2|1>

Also, (d/dx + x)(d/dx -x) is actually d^2/dx^2 - x^2
oops, there is a -1 with D^2 - x^2 too.

in parallel plate capacitor question,i think so capacitance increases becz c=epsilon0 A V/d if distance is minimum..ie distance decreases , its from fixed ditance to minimum distance as per question. c increases..
